Top 5 Clarins Products.

Lifestyle July 13, 2019

Hey babes,

Sorry I missed last weeks upload but this post seemed to take me a lot longer than I thought it would to write. If you have been around over the past few weeks you will know that a few skin issues have made me completely change my beauty routine ( if you can call it that). After ditching the entirety of my make up bag, I’ve been slowly adding skin friendly products to my day to day face.

Clarins, has been such an amazing brand to find when my skin needed a lot of help. In the past 4 months an obsession with Clarins has developed and I think I’ve grown quite the pricey collection. Of course, I am sure that there’s much cheaper alternatives out there but since I’ve started using Clarins my skin has smoothed out and changed completely.

Any way, I digress, with my much needed switch up in beauty products I thought I’d write up my five favourite Clarins products.

SOS primer

I’ve never really been a primer lover, they never seem to work with my dry-oily skin. With my recent skin issues I decided it was time to give primers one last chance- and I’m so happy I did. Unlike, some other primers I’ve used, the SOS primer, is light enough that it doesn’t leave any clumpy residue and doesn’t slide off your face at the slightest bit of sweat. Perfect for oily girls like me!

The texture itself is pretty light and easy to apply. With a shimmer running through the product it would be easy to assume that it could feel gritty when applying, but you’d be wrong. Clarins SOS Primer, is smooth and velvety, in comparison to L’Oreals Lumi Magique primer, the SOS primer leaves your skin looking smooth, and dewy.

Clarins Bronzing Compact

By nature I’m pretty pale, in fact, there’s no pretty, I’m paler than milk. Bronzer is something I use daily to stop me looking like a boiled egg. Applying this bronzer n my temples, cheeks and below my chin, just seems to make me look so much healthier.

I’ve always been drawn to Clarins bronzers, purely because they are simply beautiful. Each summer Clarins releases limited addition bronzers and there packaging is simply beautiful. However, it’s not just the packaging that’s beautiful, this light bronzer gives you the summer bronze. Clarins Bronzing Compact, is s buildable, but doesn’t leave you looking like a tangerine. With hints of litter through out the compact, it just adds something to your skin. The compact uses a combination of a bronzer, a pink powder(which can be used as a blush) and a highlighter (which gives a stunning subtle highlight) allows a slight bit of dimension to your face.

Re-Charge Sleep Mask

In the past I’ve spoken about my skin, specifically the reaction I’ve suffered recently, so I’ve had my eye on this mask for a while. Being made from Shea butter, the sleep mask nourishes dry skin whilst diminishing any additional oils. What I love about this sleep mask is that you can use it as a mask or a night cream.

Applying a thick layer to the skin before bed, and rubbing into the skin until it’s tacky, allows to hydrate the skin when its in dyer need. Alternatively, use a pea size amount and rub into skin, to wake up to fresh, nourished skin.

Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed

After using 2 very impressive ‘travel’ sized facial washes, i fully intend n buying the full size.

This foaming face wash applies so easy to the skin, attaching it self to grit, make up and other skin nasties, with minimal effort. Facial wash the rinses away with a few hand fulls of water and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean.

Skin Illusion Foundation

This foundation is a game changer for girls with redness. The light foundation creates a luminous base, with coverage. My daily go to is Estée Lauders Day Day Wear, and in comparison the over all feel is quite similar. Both products are super light weight, and illuminating, so if you use Estée Lauder Day wear, and want a medium coverage foundation for days when your skin needs a little more help, Clarins, Skin Illusion foundation is for you.

Clarins as a brand has been amazing whilst I’ve been combating my skin issues. Whilst my excema was taking over my face, the introduction of a few Clarins products helped smoothed my skin and ultimately became integral in not only my skin care routine but my make up one too. Obviously, Clarins is on the pricier side of beauty, but for my skin, it’s worth every penny, for the first time in a over a year I am so comfortable going make up free.

My bank my hate me, but my skin is glowing.

Always,

A Clarins convert.

*disclaimer- this is not an add. I have never worked with Clarins. The links throughout are not affiliate link, I earn nothing from sharing my love of this brand.*

Lifestyle June 18, 2019

Hey guys,

In the past I have dabbled with favourites posts, and thought it would be a pretty cool to introduce it back to my blog. Sharing things that I love for that month isn’t only a great way to introduce new products to you guys but its a way I can remember what I keep reaching for.

My Few Faves post, will talk about all the things I love from lifestyle, beauty and music to holidays and trips I take. Mixing up my Faves post is something that I really wanted to do. With so many bloggers around, I’m aware things can be pretty same-y -so, introducing new areas to my favourites post may make it seem like I have a life and don’t sit in my room watching crap on YouTube. *shrugs*

Any way, I digress, this faves post will hopefully be up every 1-2 months. Being a creature of habit I don’t tend to find new things. So for me personally, I need to wait a little longer than most to share the things I keep reaching for.

Now, let’s get started.

My Favourite Murder

After being introduced to the mega murder podcast(in the best possible way), after watching a Katie Snooks, vlog last year- its safe to say i’ve become pretty obsessed. I have spent hours at work typing away listening to the prerfect mix of murder and Sarcasm.

But, before I start fangirling, I’ll let you know what my excitement is all about. My favourite murder is a podcast, starring Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgaraff, where the two true crime lovers speak openly (and bloody hilariously-excuse the pun) about Murder’s throughout the years.

From Jack the Ripper to the ‘I survived ‘ tales, the two incredible, podcast hosts speak with compassion and humilty- whilst cracking more jokes than your pissed up uncle at Christmas. In theory this podcast shouldn’t work, but the charasmetic host’s, some how have managed it. If you are a murderino, or just interested in true crime then this is the perfect posdcast for you.

Recently these two incredible women have realeased a book called ‘Stay Sexy and Don’t get murdered’– Which I will no doubt be purchasing on Pay day. This book discusses topics which have been seemingly untouched by the two creative genius’s. Speaking about situations such as depression, eating disorders and I’m sure some murders, in their own way. I can’t really speak about the book, as I haven’t read it but, I am almost sure it will be on a faves post very soon.

Estée Lauder Day wear

My daily go too, Ester Lauder Day Wear, is my morning savour! After getting up at 4.45am I just can’t be bothered to go full force with make up. Estée Lauder has out done themselves when it comes to this product. Initially the product comes out as a grey paste, which when rubbed into your skin oxidises, bronzing up your complexion. The product blends into skin with minimal effort- perfect for my 5 am brain!

I tend to use a brush to apply to my skin as it just makes my skin look so much more even than when i apply with my hands or a sponge. HOWEVER, recently, Alex, from icovertthee, used her hands with this product and her skin looked flawless- so you, do you.

Now, just a warning, if you use any more than a pea sized amount then you will more than likely look as orange as David Dickinson and be an oily mess by the time you leave house- so save your product and your skin and use only a tiny amount.

With a high end brand, you’d expect the price to be up there and if I’m honest, just thinking about forking over £43.00(but I’m sure I only paid £36) for one product hurts my bank balance- but what I will say, is the the amount of product you get is bloody amazing. I bought this product about 6 weeks ago and I’ve barely used a quarter of it(and I use it at least 5 days a week). So this product’s longevity is INSANE!

Estee Lauder Day wear, definitely comes with it’s pros and cons but I never want to be without this product, so it simply had to be in my faves post.

Lewis Capaldi

Divinely uninspired to a hellish extent, could be one of the best albums I have ever listened too. Being up there with albums such as Adele’s 19 and pretty much any song sung by Sam Smith, Lewis Capaldi has made an album that I believe everyone needs in there life. Vinyl, iTunes, Cassettes, if you’re old school, where ever you get your Capaldi fix – get it( or click the link to listen on Spotify).

One of my favourite songs on the Album is One. In hindsight the song is about the ultimate love story starting from the ultimate heartbreak but it always seems to make me think of the people that have always picked me up after I’ve fallen or failed miserably. From start to finish this song fills me with strength, unless I’m drunk and I cry like a baby for 3 minutes.

Drunken sobbing aside, I pretty much love the whole album, its been on repeat since I downloaded it. So, trust me when I say, the hype is real.

Clarins Lip Oil- 01 Honey.

If you’ve read my recent post, Bad Skin Diaries, then you will know trust my skin has been in dire need of help- and my lips were no exception. With the change in season and my skin flare up my lips were swollen and sore, even smiling made me reach for the Panadol! It wasn’t until I strolled up to the Clarins counter, that was introduced to this little lip saver.

Clarins Comfort Lip Oil, £ 19, May be on the pricey side for what can only be described as an Uber luxourious lip balm- but trust me when I say, it is worth every penny. Just days* after I lathered my lips in this super soft oil, my lips were much more comfortable and in just a week you could see my lips visibly start to heal. And a month later? My lips are fully healed and nourished- and I could not be happier!

So if you are suffering with your lips then this is the product for you.

* I applied this at least three times a day or when my lips had become sore.

And, there you have it, my first favourites post for what seems an age. I hope you enjoyed it.

Hope to see you soon,

Em x

Lazy Girls Guide to Confidence Boosting Skincare.

Lifestyle January 30, 2019

Hello, beautiful!

I’ve been debating writing a post similar to my Lazy Girls guide to Confidence Boosting Skincare, for a few months now. I’ve got such a love/hate relationship with my skin. The hidden secrets and confessions I share within this post are all products I use all the time! So I hope you enjoy! Now, let’s crack on!

Okay guys confession time, I am so lazy when it comes to skincare. Being some one who hates to sleep in make up but hates using approximately 97 products before she can hit the hay- Yeap, I am weird. Over the past few months, I have suffered severely with my skin. Mostly this is due to the combination of hormones and the artic conditions the UK has seen recently. When my skin is in bad shape, I feel terrible. Within the past month my skin has transformed and become much more nourished and dare I say it? Glowing.

The products I have shared with you are my go to products for my very lazy skincare routine. They’re all drugstore but-oh-so amazing.

Gainer Micellar Water, £4.99

Whether you’re a lazy skin care lover(like me) or a skin care aficionado, we can all agree that removing make up is skincare 101. And in my 10+ years of wiping away my poor attempts of instagram make up, I have never found anything as amazing as Garnier Micellar water. This light formula leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean ready for any other steps I fancy.

Another reason I adore this magic little potion is that it is available in most drug stores, supermarkets, airports- basically anywhere you can think of sells this god send.

Tea Tree and Witch Hazel spot stick, £4.49

A Boots own bargain!

Now as a rule I love Boots Tea Tree and Witchhazel range- but this spot stick is something else. When my hormones are at an all time high I get very painful cyst like spots (TMI, I know) which often leave me so conscious about my skin.

Applying this day and night cream to the spots doesn’t automatically change your skin but it does treat the readiness and eases the pain that comes with it. Over a week or two the spot subsides and the scaring really is left to a minimum.

Garnier, fresh-mix tissue mask, £2.99.

After Jamie Genieve raved about these amazing drugstore sheetmasks, I ran to books and bough 6.

The past few months has seen me struggle to apply make up or even just feeling comfortable on my no make up days, due to my sore dry skin. Applying the glow mask a few times a week really has helped my skin find a healthy glow that I’ve always wanted.

Unlike many, this sheet mask is so light and leaves minimal excess on my skin. And the excess product it does leave, is so easy to blend into the skin (with absolutely no effort). Garnier Fresh-Mix sheet masks have revolutionised my skin care- and I’m so happy about it.

Burts bee’s lip scrub, £6.99.

In the words of my best mate ‘Anything Burt’s Bees won’t ever let you down’ and she’s right. I have totally fallen in love with Burts Bees and don’t think I’ve been without a BB product in my hand bag for well over a year.

This honey sugar scrub is quite light and doesn’t leave any residue others do. The serum does club together but only takes a wipe and your lips are nourished and smooth. Perfect, and not messy!

Lanolips, £8.99.

Yes, I was one of the many influenced by Lydia Elise Millen to buy Lanolips. And honestly, it is bloody brilliant.

Adding Lanolips (in rhubarb), to my make up bag allows me to feel so much better even without make up. The nourishing gloss, not only helps my weather hating lips (literally every damn season) but the slight tint just finishes of my basic full face of Make up.

When I don’t use this product my lips return back into the sore dehydrated brains of my life they always are. Lanolips is my cure, for any lip issues I have, and all for £8.99!

Skincare is such a personal thing and if you’re a person who really loves to splurge on skincare then, you do you. Yet, for women such as myself I just don’t feel like an in-depth skincare routine is for me. These simple, yet effective products are things I reach for daily and couldn’t not share these affordable skin care items with you.

Hope you enjoyed!

What do you use in your skincare routine? Do you use any of the products I’ve talked about? Or do you even adore a lavish skincare routine? Please let me know in the comments.

Three 2018 realisations.

Lifestyle, Ramble all the way..., sex and relationships, Uncategorized December 17, 2018

This year has been the year of,like, realising stuff- Kylie Jenner.

2018, has been a year I needed. An eye opening realisation, that the only thing holding my life back was me. And believe me it’s something I’ve rectified.

Over the years I’ve always thought I had to be some one else- that showing the real me would leave me lonely and insecure. Whilst at times I still feel those things in abundance, accepting who I am has only made me happier. With being happier my somewhat dull personality shines through, all the dorky, sarcastic and slightly flirty characteristics that once made my skin crawl sends me into hysterics. In short, 2018 is the year I finally accepted the person who I am and dropped my persona.

I’ve lost people along the way.

Towards the end of 2018, I backed away from a lot of friendships. Some I massively regret, others I’m not in the slightest bit bothered about. Losing the friends I have over the past 9 months has made me realise that friendships aren’t a two way street. Often one has feels the need to be there far more than the other. It’s unfair, but severely honest.I have always kept my friendship group small, I’m just not a ‘friends with everyone and their dogs, instantly’ kind of girl. And that’s perfectly okay.

In friendships I look for comfort. Comfort in the knowledge, that if I didn’t speak to a friend for months, if I needed them- they’d be there. Friends which bring sarcasm, prosecco and chic flicks after a break up( or just a Sunday). Being comfortable in any relationship is a big deal, and focusing on friendships which bring me nothing but comfort and sarcasm, are my best kinds of friendships.

Being selfish.

I’ve been pretty selfish over the past twelve months. And I am completely not ashamed to admit it. I’ve previously spoken about my anxiety and the struggles I have with confidence, being selfish was and still is needed.

I’ve slowly learnt to put myself first, to make my goals and happiness a priority. Waving goodbye to negative impacts, people and clothing(we’ve all got that sneaky dress hanging in our wardrobes that we will never fit back into). Over the past 9 months I feel better not only in my own skin but in the person who I am.

I may not be as confident as I would hope to be, but steps are being taken to unleash my inner Miranda priestly whilst of course embracing my Miranda heart qualities.

Accepting being alone.

For the longest time I’ve wanted to be with someone. I’d love to come home to a cuddle after an awful day at work, but unfortunately life had other plans for me. And as I write this post I Am so great fun it’s worked out that way.

Right now, I have some amazing changes coming, things that wouldn’t be a alive toe if I wear to be coupled up. As a rule I feel so empowered to continue to create a life that I want, that I deserve. I will never be the shell of a girl I once was and it wasn’t until I writing this post I realised, that no man ‘saved me’. I did, well, me, the girls and copious amount of gin.

In the next week I will be sharing some of the amazing news I’ve received recently. I can’t wait to share what is coming- 2019 is going to be the year of an empowered Em- and it’s about bloody time!

Always,

The Drugstore Products Saving My Skin.

Lifestyle, Uncategorized May 1, 2018

IMG_4777

Okay my loves, the old bank balance has been looking pretty bloody shoddy and well my skin hasn’t looked much better. After a few days of feeling really crappy about my skin I decided enough was enough and strolled into my local Boots. With a limited budget I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to find something which would actually help.

My skin was still recovering from a reaction to a cleanser, it was sore to the touch, dry and really lack lustre. My dry areas, left make up application difficult and over time I became so aware of how awful my skin looked. The products below have helped with pretty much everything I was worried about.  Not all my skin issues have gone but the area which were making me very insecure look and feel so much better!IMG_4778

Garnier Rose Toner

Honestly, I don’t know if I use this product right, but after a nightmare with a facial wash cleanser I decided to give this toner a try. Using this to take of my makeup daily, my skin feels so much better. I do have to use quite a lot of this product to take the day off but at aroung£1.74 (currently)a bottle I shouldn’t complain too much.

I am not sure how to describe the feel, and look of this product. What I can say is this, Garnier Rose Toner does the job without leaving skin sore or leaving any sticky residue on your skin. BASICALLY, it’s a winner in my no longer sore as shit eyes.

Cucumber Gel.

A little know fact about me is when I’m stress or anxious, I rub my eyes. Sometimes it gets so bad my eyes swell and the soft skin around my eyes starts to crack and becomes sore. Boots own cucumber gel has been such a saving grace when it comes to this. The cooling effect immediately makes my eyes feel better and within a few days it decreases the puffing significantly.

What I will say is this, I tend to put a lot of this stuff around my eyes and it blends into skin like a dream. However there is an initial ‘stickiness’ which usually goes away in a minute or two. If there is a product in Boots you need to try its this one. Sore eyes or not.

The shocking part of all of this is that this bad boy only cost £1.50. I have had this product for around 3 weeks and it shows no sign of emptying. I try my best to use this morning and night an honestly, I have seen results. My eyes aren’t as puffy, they are no where near as sore or irritated and after a panic attack on Wednesday, I found myself needed some extra tlc, AND THIS WAS IT.

Garnier Rose Moisturiser.

I have to be honest, I have used this for a while. I love this £3.50 moistriser. In fact my only issue is that I tend to go through this product like theres no tomorrow. The smell, the product, the practicality of the packaging its all brilliant.

As previously said I rub my skin when I’m stress and this product eases the after effects so well without any stinging or irritation. I have read reviews in the past about the which haven’t been great but honestly, this stuff works for me and at £3.50 its going to be a hard job to sway me to try another product.

Lanolips.

Credit where credits due, Lydia Millen was the reason I picked up this lip product In the first place. At £8.99 this is no Vaseline.

As I am not the biggest fan of my natural lip colour I opted for the rhubarb lip tint which nourishes your lips with an addition of a natural effect lip tint. This product has saved my lips. As a natural lipstick lover (nude obvs) my lips become dry so easily. Lanolips has been a saving grace and in just a few weeks my lips show no sign of dehiydration or cracking.

£8.99 might be a lot for lip bam, but this stuff bloody works wonders.

A little disclaimer: I can only share products that work for my skin. Over the past three (or so) weeks these products have really aided the health of my skin. The products may have worked for me but they may not work for everyone, please be aware that some of these products could cause irritation for different skin types and textures.

I wanted to share this little post with you because the skin care I have been using may not be ground breaking but right now it is working. And honestly, I don’t think I could be happier.

Have you got any drug store skin care staples? If so leave a little comment and I might give them a try!

Always love,

Em x

Accepting Flaws and Moving on…

Lifestyle, Uncategorized March 6, 2018

IMG_4368 (1)

Over the past few months I have stripped back my life, friendships and even goals have been totally turned around. Doing this I have found myself not only feeling better about myself but I have finally found my feet. As cliché as it sounds, I finally know that I am where I am, because I have earned the right to be here.

Even though I know where I am and the direction I want to go in, I feel cant help but feel like I could so easily revert. Finding yourself at a crossroads in your life is confusing, you could so easily make the wrong decision and find yourself back at square one. Feeling like a failure comes far to easy for myself, but I’d rather fail than never know.

Accepting that sometimes you’re your own worst enemy.

I’ve spoken in the past about pressure and the negative effect it has on our lives. Yet, knowing this and accepting this strange concept is two exceptionally different things. Knowing you constantly berate yourself over the tiniest insignificant details of your life is something, if we are all honest with ourselves, we are aware of but won’t change. In a world where ‘change’ is needed, why on earth is it so hard to except the things we know need to change to benefit our lives?

Its simple, we are pretending.

IMG_4366 (1)

We’re pretending that even if we accepted everything we needed to move on our lives would be exactly the same. BUT, they wouldn’t. The thought of change is scary- its scares me to my very core to be honest. Change isn’t derogatory, its necessary. Do you really want to be the same person as that teenager that thought concealer lips and dream matte mouse was a ‘banging combination’. No, of course you don’t.

Being you’re own worst enemy is soul destroying, it changes your mind set, your world and your ability to live the life you only dream off. And that’s starts with you, accepting that being uneccaserily hard on yourself will not win wars, it won’t make your day dreams come true- it will prevent them.

You are worth so much more than that bewildered feeling, you carry with you. Stop it, leave it move on.

Realising you’re worth much more than you were settling for.

Believe it or not this point is not about relationships. Its about settling in your life. Shitty jobs, poor self esteem, down right awful health- we don’t need to accept this. You are settling. We often dream of having a better life, but never seem to put ourselves forward and actually start the process of bettering it.

Settling, is damaging. Once you start to settle for something, your self esteem goes so far down the toilet its swimming in the Pacific. You are so much more than what you are accepting, if we only get one chance why the hell are we rolling over and settling in life.

Learning to laugh at yourself.

We all f*ck up. There is no rhyme or reason. We all have clumsy tendencies, I know I for one am fully aware that if there is a glass door in my presence, I will not only walk into it but leave my foundation print on it so I can never be forgotten.

Laughing(even fake laughter) creates endorphins which will intern make you happier. Faking a laugh at a cliché colleague or even letting a slight giggle out over a drunken text to an ex, will help you. And if we are being honest, if you take the shame away, drunk texting actually pretty funny- in the morning when sober, at least.

Life shouldn’t be taken too seriously, even the most resting of bitch faces could do with cracking sometimes. Laughing is good for the soul, taking yourself too seriously creates unnecessary pressure. And seriously, who needs more of that?

Moving on.

Moving on in life is difficult. A task that is simply more daunting than we could ever imagine, its essentially like were breaking up with the negative effects in our lives. Is it time to block your insecurities,  to throw out all the negative impacts off your life or even just to tell the world to fuck off when you’re hammered. Its all perfectly fine.IMG_4365 (1)

When you pick up broken the pieces in life, they never seem to fit together. Because they don’t. You are not the same – you’ve learnt and are starting to live differently. And huns, sometimes you do revert but the funny thing is, you can stop and start again. No one worth their salt will judge you and if they do, quite frankly, they are nothing.

Its so easy to focus on the shit end of the scale when it comes to life, but when was the last time you actively sort to change something? Yes, change is most definitely a scary prospect, and you will constantly wonder if you should have started in the first place.

Simply, YES. You never know unless you step away from the things that are holding you back. Whether that be relationships, work, insecurities or even social media. Whatever it is, it is more than okay to step away for a little while. Even a few days away to collect your thoughts will create time to change your view on things. Never, let the pressure make you feel worthless, because you are not. You’re a boss.

ALWAYS, love.

Festive Party Prep.

Lifestyle, Uncategorized December 6, 2017

IMG_3791With so many invitations, parties and work event Christmas can be pretty stressful. Christmas is such an exciting time but with that excitement there is a heck of a lot of pressure to look good. Why are we always prepping for something?

Brushing, poking, waxing you name it, over the Christmas period you will be doing it (or at least contemplating doing it). With all this pampering, I thought I would share with you the beauty/ cosmetic products which I am reaching for to make me feel so much better about myself.

HAIR

Herbal Essence’s have really out done themselves with their new range. Their New coconut oil shampoo and conditioner, smells amazing and leaves your hair feeling so soft and supple. Naturally I have quite dry hair, so I have to use moisturising shampoo to ensure my hair doesn’t get too brittle. Herbal essence’s coconut oil shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair feeling healthy and nourished.

It has been scientifically proven that our hair get ‘’used’ to the same products over times, losing the benefits the product initially gives. Herbal Essences have slightly combated this by launching another hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Their Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner is amazing and is perfect for coloured hair (like mine). Moroccan oil is used to directly aid the healing of damaged hair. Using a combination of both of these hydrating products has really given my hair the boost that it needed. I couldn’t recommend it more.

SKIN care

Mt skin care routine hasn’t really change too much form my skin care favourites, but I have noticed my skin is so healthy at the moment. I definitely think it’s down to regular use of Liz Earle Cleanse and polish. I don’t think I have introduced a better product than this amazing cleanser. When the product is being worked into your skin you can definitely see the make up and dirt almost dissolve in your skin.

I also have to give a little nod to the soap and glory Raidience sheet mask. I love a glowy hydrated look on my skin, so this sheet mask is completely amazing for my skin. The citrus extracts leave your skin feeling refreshed and nourished. For £4.00 it is a little bit expensive for a drug store sheet mask, but believe me when I say this it is amazing (she says currently wearing one smelling like a citrus queen!).

Body

Exfoliation is going to be your best friend in the next few weeks. My preferred type of exfoliation is Primark £1 exfoliation gloves. The abrasive texture feels as if it would be too cores for sensitive skin, although once water has been added with a good splodge of your favourite shower gel it soon softens up and leaves skin feeling so soft.

Exfoliation leaves skin well prepared for shaving, tanning and of course the odd bit of glitter. It is Christmas time after all.

Moisturiser!

This may be a little bit TMI, but is struggle really badly with dry skin around the top of my thighs. I struggle so much trying to find a moisturiser that doesn’t cost the earth but really aids skin nourishment. I have recently reached for a new(ish) take on an old favourite. The Body Shops, Vanilla Chai Body butter.

First and foremost the scent smells like Christmas. There is no way around it, one whiff and you will be reaching for the mulled wine. In addition to the amazing scent the formula is really thick, you almost feel your skin soaking in all the product. After a few weeks of using this amazing body butter your skin is left feeling so replenished you won’t be able to shop showing off your but usual there is some sort of offer on!).

PSA: They also do this scent in a candle.

GO!

This little list of tricks is my go to for nights out (or even if I just need a confidence boots). Christmas is so hectic, sometimes you just need to take a minute to prep yourself for the very socially active time ahead. Some social activities are much more daunting than others, so spending an extra hour or so getting ready can really give you the boost of confidence you need.

And sometimes that confidence boost just reminds you of the utter babe you are.

So, what are you doing this festive season? Any cheeky Christmas parties? Let me know in the comments below!
