For the Love of a Teddy Coat.

IMG_3965Winter. A season for warm coats and fluffy scarfs, but what if you could combine the two?

New Look have out done themselves with this black fluffy number. The quilted lining, the massive poppers (which don’t show when the coat is close) makes the cosiest coat you will ever own! For the price of £51.99, this coat is probably on the mid price range when it comes to the all important  winter coat.

A warm and cosy winter.

A simple over sized teddy coat has not only become a very welcomed addition to my wardrobe.

Now I will admit when I say over sized, I mean I could probably fit myself and a small family comfortably in it. Not that I am complaining,.

I am a firm believer in buying a coat one size to big so I can wear the biggest jumper I can find underneath. Yes my friends, I am THAT girl, when it comes to the festive season.

Winter walk.

On one of my first outings I , unfortunately, was caught in a massive down pour. The down poor was only for a few moments but my coat held up pretty well. Obviously, it did soak in a bit of water but not enough to make the clothes under the coat itself wet.

Quite surprisingly the coat didn’t loose any shape. In fact it has stayed the same shape since I have bought it: absolutely no stretching! With many coats with a mixture of soft fibres such as the ones found in a teddy coat, stretching can happen and sometimes(if possible) it can be difficult to correct. The fact that there have been no stretching in the slightest has made me fall in love with this coat over and over again.IMG_3977

You guys know me, and will know that if there is a fault then I will find it. So it surprises me that  I only have one thing that bugs me. There is a small hole in the left hand pocket which I am almost sure was is a generic design flaw in most coats. And that’s it.

Even with the minor flaws, I really feel this coat adds to an outfit. The boxy cut allows for that ‘I-look-completely-amazing-just-thrown-together-look’ we all secretly want to achieve.  This coat really has been a great find and I apologise now if you get sick of seeing/hearing/reading about it!

Always love,

Em xx
